Description of Issue

Roon Core crashes a lot when I access it on my PC. I don’t minimize it. But, say an album ends, and I want to select my next album on Roon. I’d say 60% of the time when I click back to it it just freezes on the mouse click. If I click more, it’ll get gray and usually crash. If I just let it think, then probably half the time it resolves in 20 or 30 seconds; the other half it just crashes.

Help me out here, if you would.

I uploaded to Logs Upload Server per https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/logs#RAATServer

Same thing for me with Roon Core on Win10 PC.

@Steven_Rau, what verion of Roon are you running on your AMD Core? Build 1234 is the current production version. And have you verified that your video drivers are up to date?

My build is 1234.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and my drivers are up to date. (2/23 date)

It may not help, but there is a new NVIDIA driver out yesterday for the 2060.

I am using an AMD computer for my Core and am on the earlyaccess release, which stabilized Roon for me. Again, not a recommendation but an option.

I’ll try the display driver update.

How do I access the “earlyaccess release” if I want to try that route?

You can read about earlyaccess using the two links below:

Hey @Steven_Rau,

I wanted to check in on this thread to see if you were still running into crashing issues on your windows core? From renewing your account, I see you’ve recently changed to a mac core, are things running smoothly for you there?

All devices seem to be on a production build as well, I’m curious to hear if you tested out running on early access?

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
