Description of Issue

Hello, my Roon Core is having trouble finding my ID40 in my Meridian 861. I suspect this may be related to the Roon 2.0 upgrade, it was working fine up until recently.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Rebooting everything
  • Reset ID40 card (hold down left button on 861 face)
  • Can see ID40 website (192.168.1.187)
  • Can ping ID40 from Roon Core machine
  • Downgraded to version 1.8 (Win 10 Roon Core and iPhone Roon Remote)

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

Update: I suspect the issue may be related to my Asus mesh network. Here’s the setup I had:
Core → Asus Router → (AI Mesh via ethernet) → Asus Router → ID40

I installed the Roon core on another computer that also used the AI mesh, and it could not see the ID40. I was finally able to get it to work by installing the Roon core on a computer connected to the same router as the ID40 (although it’s running Windows 7 so I had to use Roon Core 1.8).

This is weird because it had been working fine for a year or two over the AI mesh, never had this trouble before.
