it says waiting for your Roon server. Trying to connect. The MacBook Air with my Roon core installed and my wired Naim ndx2 streamer are on the same net. It stopped working for 2 days ago.
Describe your network setup
Zyxel ex5401-1B router, cat6 cabel to Naim Ndx2 streamer and Roon Core installed on MacBook Air M1, macOS Tahoe
Thanks for reaching out. Can you please confirm if RoonServer is opened on your Macbook? There should be a Roon icon in the task bar area, please check to see that it is there. If not, please try to manaully open the RoonServer app, and let us know if this helps.
Our diagnostics servers indicate that RoonServer has been active since you last posted. There’s a Naim device linked to that server, but we’re not able to confirm whether you still encounter device discovery issues intermittently.
Are we correct in assuming that your case here is resolved?
If you’re running MacOS 15+, you’ll possibly need to toggle Local Network access for RoonServer in MacOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
Please reach out here if we can help troubleshoot anything further. We’ll monitor this thread for a response - please note that the support staff is not active on weekends, but will promptly return on Monday.
Since we haven’t seen any recent activity, this thread will now close automatically. We’ll assume things are working again on your end. If not, you can restart the conversation anytime by opening a new support thread, selecting “Other,” and linking back to this one.
We’ll pick it up from there. Otherwise, happy listening.
