Had to reinstall Roon core due to win 11 laptop reset, my 2 servers in my network folder are now showing Jon’s device icons which are unusable. I can’t figure out to change back to file folders . And now my Mark Levinson 519 now showing as usable audio streaming device with Roon. I rebooted etc but my other streamers are appearing. My Innous mk3 server streamer is using its dac. Nothing physically has changed with this system. Please help
Describe your network setup
Wireless mesh network with full coverage everywhere
Corrections: Jon’s device must be a typo above. - Just showing device icons is correct. And My 519 device is showing unusable since it is not appearing in Roon after the core reinstall.
I have an Innous MK3 server/streamer, the NAIM Unity Core server. I have been using these for either ripping CDs, copy/paste downloads and using the files for Roon. Playback. These are both going into a en Ethernet switch in my media room – I have 100 % coverage via the 4 AP nodes I have. Everything with Roon has been working fine until last week, and for some unknown reason they look like media devices since last week. (See screenshot). I don’t know if this was a Microsoft update that corrupted all this and I can’t undo since I reset my laptop last Friday. I reinstalled Windows 11 yesterday and nothing changed. Now, the Innous device doesn’t even show up on the list on the screenshot. Now, the LS2 device in the screenshot is my storage device and that is plugged directly into the router and same issue. Thanks,
In the screenshot you sent, it shows Media Devices on a Windows 11 PC, is this issue occurring outside of Roon? You mention a Innuous and NAIM, but the only server I see for your account is a Windows one. Since you’re having issue with multiple devices, I wonder if the issue could be related to your Windows firewall settings?
You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.
I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.
