Description Of Issue

After flawless operation for weeks roon hangs “initializing” for an infinite period.

No changes to system I would know of.

Steps taken:

Remove Kaspersky Internet Security and replace it with Windows Defender.
Delete and Rebuild Firewall Settings.

Any suggestions?

Hello @Joachim_Herbert, could you please check for Windows updates and reboot your core?

This is weird. Checked my mobile remote (android) just to find roon is up and running just fine. Rebooted the windows client et voila, roon is back.

I wonder why the client gives wrong information about what is going on at the server side. Guess we will never find out.

Will reboot the client anyway, should such thing happen again.

So: Case closed.

Hello @Joachim_Herbert, I’m glad things are working again! Please let us know if you have any further issues.
