Roon Core unable to add albums from LaCie HDD on Macbook Air (ref#HA6WFW)

Describe the issue

My Roon software (or is it the Roon Core?) no longer allowing me to add albums thru Roon "Add to Library" + button or the "Add to Library in an album description lower right corner of Roon software interface. I have 14,900 albums and 200k tracks on a 16 TB LaCie HDD. Run Roon Core on Macbook Air 2013
Symptoms: I try to add album using the + symbol and it either hangs (spins) or says added but it does not show up on the Roon "added" page. It sometimes also throws an immediate "deleted album" message and the album is not added in any of these permutations. Album never displays and is not added to the Roon Core database on home page or otherwise.

I went into Roon settings and see that it now asking whether i want to clear image cache - that sounds risky. NOt sure at all part of a solution to the rejection of "Add to Library" and the immediate deletion of the album -- after getting an Added to Library confirm (though as stated sometimes the album is not described as being added but just hangs in the add process.

Describe your network setup

Macbook Air 2013 with ample RAM etc, running Sonic 1GIG fiber network with 16 TB LaCie HDD. Sonic and EERO (not the issue - the issue is in the Roon software/core/folders/files not accepting add to library and deleting the album as soon as added).

Are you using Tidal? Because local files are added by copying the album to the watched storage location. Anyhow, if you are using tidal, know that there is a favorites limit that Tidal imposes of about 10,000 albums.

Hey @Mark_Musto,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write in and share your report - it’s good to see you on the community again!

You have an interesting case here, and @Rugby makes a good point - Tidal hits a limit at 10k albums.

Are you able to provide a specific example of an album or track that fails to get added? Share that info here, and if you could please, use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

We’ll be on standby for your reply, thanks! :raised_hands:
