Roon crashes seconds after I double-click. The error - sourced from Event Viewer - is always the same (pasted below): a .NET Runtime error and an application error.
Application: Roon.exe CoreCLR Version: 6.0.3524.45918 .NET Version: 6.0.35 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\kevin\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\200001470\200001470'. at System.Environment.set_CurrentDirectoryCore(String value) at System.Environment.set_CurrentDirectory(String value) at System.IO.Directory.SetCurrentDirectory(String path) at Sooloos.Client.ApplicationCommon.Init(IList`1 objcruntimes, String appname, String apptitle) at Sooloos.Application.Main(String[] argv)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have updated my Windows, .NET and drivers. I am at a loss! Looking forward to working with you to get back online.
When you re-installed Roon did you rename the AppData Roon folder and let the install create a new one ? It could be trying to find an old corrupt file . Try renaming Roon folder Roon_Old or something then re-install.
I followed the above instructions: renamed Roon and Roon Server folders, then reinstalled. Confirming there are new Roon and Roon Server folders, along with the RAATServer folder in which the Database subfolder appears.
I tried launching Roon and it crashed again. Error messages:
.NET Runtime error ---------------------

I did notice in the .NET error that the path being sought has a folder named “200001470” nested within an identically named folder, e.g. C:\Users\kevin\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\200001470\200001470
However the actual folder tructure has noly one instance of the numbered subfolder, e.g.
C:\Users\kevin\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\200001470
I think the next step here is to take a look at your logs. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?
