Thanks for reaching out. I’ve activated diagnostics mode for your account and I am looking over the error logging. According to the errors I see, it looks like you might be trying to run Roon/RoonServer from the .dmg directly instead of from the Applications folder path. Can you please check to see if this is the case on your end?
i run a new mac mini…that aims at another mac mini that runs Roon. The new mac mini runs the app. how do i need to change this…this has been working for several months. My Iphone still works.
Thanks for the additional information! So you’re only having issues opening Roon remote on your new Mac mini - Roon Server on your other Mac is running without issue.
While downloading and reinstalling Roon didn’t help, lets see if completely refreshing your remote database on the new Mac may prove to get you back up and running properly:
Thanks for the update! To confirm, are you able to open Roon on other remote devices and still access Roon Server running on your Mac?
If so, can you please update your Roon Server to latest build? It looks like you’re running on an older version of Roon that could be causing you issues.
A few other areas to review :
The mac firewall on your issue mini - test out temporarily disabling it, and let me know if you’re able to open Roon.
Check your system settings > Full disk access > toggle Roon on and see if you run into the same issues
Let’s see if we’re able to review any manual logs from the issue Mini - can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of Roon logs from the issue Mac to our File Uploader?
OK…I will update after this weekend…since my remote devices still work and I can listen to music…seems strange to update and hope they still work instead of fixing the one endpoint that does not connect… I will “sound” out after the update.
