We have been using Roon for a few weeks now, and absolutely love it however, when attempting to control Roon via a 7th gen iPad, the app will often just suddenly ‘quit’
We would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to troubleshoot this.
Hi @GazT
Welcome to the community!
Since the app is suddenly quitting to the home screen (a hard crash), this usually points to a temporary data corruption or a memory state issue on the device itself.
Could you please try a clean reinstall of the Roon Remote app to rule this out?
Delete the Roon app from your iPad.
Restart the iPad (this step is important to clear the system memory and cache).
Reinstall Roon from the App Store.
Additionally, could you let us know exactly which version of iPadOS is running on this device?
Let us know if the crashes persist after this fresh start.
Hi @GazT,
Server logs show Roon cycling between network interfaces and reinitiating handshakes with remotes and endpoints sporadically. RAAT loses sight of the iPad around this time and reconnects.
Do you have this network segmented into multiple VLANs/subnets?
