Roon crashes on keyboard input (CAPS LOCK)

Hi,

I have Roon Core running on a Mac Mini and a Roon Control on an iMac. They are on the same wired local network. I can reliably crash the Roon Control on my iMac by pressing the CAPS LOCK key in an input field. The Roon Core continues to run fine. This was also an issue in Roon 1.6. Can’t remember this was an issue under macOS Mojave on the iMac

Specs below

Roon Control (1.7) on iMac (2019, 3.6 Ghz i9, 64GB running macOS Catalina 10.15.1)

Roon Core (1.7) on Mac Mini (2018, 3.2 GHz i7, 32 GB running macOS Mojave 10.14.6)

Same here on iMac 27" late 2015 with latest public beta MacOS 10.15.2 beta

Hello @chris_laurens,

This is a known issue when running Roon on macOS Catalina. We are investigating a fix.

In the meantime, you can avoid this crash by disabling the “Accessibility” permission for Roon in System Preferences > Security and Privacy. Note that this will also disable media key controls for Roon.
