Description of Issue
I am a new Roon user. Set up my core on a NUC running ROCK. Went to set up ROON on my computer and mobile devices. Roon boots up. Shows a logo and closes or crashes. Ive tried all kinds of fixes found on this forum and nothing seems to work. Please help. I just signed up for a free trial and would like to use it.
It seems that current releases of control devices / remotes crash when the Core is not up do date. The ROCK image that is downloaded seems not the latest version and would run an update immediately. However, if all your remotes crash then you can’t initiate the update from the remote. You can, however, initiate the update by going to the admin web page for ROCK and clicking the Reinstall button for the Operating System:
@support This is not good, happened with a new Nucleus today with this and I don’t know how many incidents in recent days, will there be a remote update soon that fixes these crashes? I suppose you can’t update Roon on new Nucleuses but maybe an up-to-date download image for ROCK. Not a good experience during setup
