Describe the issue

The program stops when I click on the Detail(...) Icon to edit the album in the Galaxy Tab. This does not happen when I run the program on my PC.
Galaxy Tab S9 and S5e appear the same in both models. What is the cause?

Describe your network setup

ASUS Router --> NUC12 --> Sotm SMSUltra 2000 --> Macintosh DAC2 DAC

These run on older Android versions I believe

What version are they?

The Tab s8 was released about 2 years ago and runs android 14, so I’d guess the s9 is just fine.

Hi @Baek_Seog_Soon,

We’d like to investigate diagnostic logging with development to reproduce the issue, but the Roon instance on the Galaxy Tab appears offline. Please open Roon on this device and reproduce the issue before opening Roon again. This should allow our requests to succeed.

Additionally, if you’re willing to provide ADB logs from the affected Android tablet, it would help expedite our investigation. You can follow these steps:

Connect your PC to Android phone and install ADB (instructions are here (all platforms)). Then:

  1. Type adb shell in terminal
  2. Type logcat v (ref: Herramienta de línea de comandos Logcat  |  Android Studio  |  Android Developers)
  3. Reproduce the problem and let terminal print logs for 3-5 more seconds
  4. Select output from the moment you started the reproduction of the bug till the very end
  5. Upload the log here and let us know once you have done so:

Hi @BoonSun_Tay,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.

However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.

First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.

Hi, i just tried at 19:12 hrs DE time.

Thanks for getting us those timestamps. We sent a diagnostics request to your Roon server. Please turn on your Roon server for a few minutes to allow the request to be completed. Once we have your diagnostic data we can continue troubleshooting.

Apologies if the issue was not explained properly. The roon app on the S24 Ultra freezes every time the 3 dots on the track is pressed.

Hey @BoonSun_Tay,

Thanks for the update! It looks like you’re running a different version of Roon on your S24, the early access version of Roon, while your other devices are all on the production version of Roon.

As a next step, I’d suggest moving your S24 back to production and see if your issue persists. The easiest way to do that is to uninstall the early access version of the Roon app, and download the production version from your respective app store.

Let me know how it goes! :+1:

I downloaded the production version, and the problem is still there.

Hi @BoonSun_Tay,

I’m merging your report with another user who encountered a similar symptom. The team is investigating and will follow up with next steps. Thanks!

Hi @BoonSun_Tay, @Baek_Seog_Soon,

Our Developers have requested some additional logging to isolate this crash. If you’re willing to provide the following, it will help expedite the release of the fix they’re going to prepare.

Specifically, we need ADB (Android-level) logging from the affected Samsung devices while you’re reproducing the crash.

First, connect your PC to Android phone and install ADB (instructions are here (all platforms)). Then:

  1. Type adb shell in terminal
  2. Type logcat v (ref: أداة سطر أوامر Logcat  |  Android Studio  |  Android Developers)
  3. Reproduce the problem and let terminal print logs for 3-5 more seconds
  4. Select output from the moment you started the reproduction of the bug till the very end
  5. Upload the log here and let us know once you have done so:

Please let us know if we can provide any clarification. Thank you!
