Roon crashes right on startup on Windows

Roon Core Machine

Intel Nuc ROCK

Description of Issue

I had a failed boot SSD on my ROCK. I bought a new SSD, installed ROCK again and it started.
Then on Windows, Roon asked me to deauth my old Core (I guess the serial numbers changed or something?). I did and went through more inital steps. Then it Roon crashed.

I reinstalled it, hoping it would be better. But no, now it crashes every time, just shortly showing the animated icon.

I started Roon with -storagetrace, here is the log file:

If I understand correctly, you downloaded the ROCK installer and did a fresh install? Unfortunately the ROCK installer is an outdated version and current remote versions like you have crash immediately.

You probably need to update ROCK and that’s possible from the admin web page, http://rock
When there, you will see that Roon Server Version is build 1143. From your log:

Click the Reinstall button under Operating System which will also trigger an update of the Roon Server

Yes, Roon is aware that they need to update the Rock download image or fix the remote crash but it hasn’t happened yet
