When I am playing a track from "tracks" or "playlist" and hit the queue icon on the track screen, the entire Roon screen disappears, like it has logged out, but music continues to play. I then have to open Roon again. It happens every time I try to access my queue. It is happening with both my Windows laptops, one of which is the Roon server. Help!
Describe your network setup
Using a Belkin router on a personal wireless internet connection. Have a wifi6-repeater in the system.
Thank you for the post. The team will activate diagnostic logging to pinpoint the crash and isolate the cause.
The symptoms you’ve described suggest that both RoonServer and RAATServer remain online and the issue is restricted to the graphical component of Roon.
There appear to be two active RoonServer instances associated with your account. Have you recently migrated between RoonServer machines, or do you regularly switch between servers by deauthorizing a machine?
Which machine precisely is exhibiting this crashing?
Hello Connor,
I’m only using one and have been using only that server for a couple of months, so just one when this has happened, and that is the Windows Laptop currently designated. It was working fine a couple of days ago. Actually I have two laptops and both were exhibiting this.
Now, subsequent to my inquiry, I selected an album that was not in my library, in Roon (I use only Qobuz in Roon for streaming and library tracks that are not in my personal folders), and the queue worked, showing all the album tracks in the queue. Then I went back to “Tracks” featuring albums in my library, and the queue for that is now working again. Almost like playing an album not in my library somehow created some sort of reset on the queue function and my library. Doesn’t explain what happened, but it appears to be working normally again! Any ideas?
Oh, one more thing I didn’t mention; this all started with me going to the queue, which did show up, for whatever I was playing (album, playlist, etc.), and if I tried to scroll up on the queue, same thing, the Roon screen would disappear and I would have to start Roon again to bring the screen back up. Again, same thing happened with both laptops. Then it morphed into the screen disappearing as soon as I hit the queue icon on the “now playing” screen.
Thanks so much for your help.
Regards,
Joaquin
Hi @fiascogarcia,
We suspect that there is a specific album or track that is causing this problem due to having special characters in the title. Can you think of what album or track this might have been?
Well, not really as I think I did all tracks in shuffle mode. The only strange track I can remember is a 13 second track by Billie Eilish that has the title “!!!”.
