Roon crashes when android phone unplugged from system

I am running Roon on a windows 10 system. I plug my android phone in the system to charge. Almost every time I unplug my phone from the USB, Roon crashes.

Hi @dennis ---- Thank you for the feedback, can you confirm the same behavior if another port or USB cable is used?

-Eric

Yes , It happens on several ports on my USB hub and 2 different cables. Also I am playing to a PS Audio DAC via a network bridgeII.

Can you grab some logs for us immediately after the crash @dennis? Instructions are here.

Thanks!

here is a link to the logs

Hi @dennis ---- Thank you for the upload! Confirming that the logs have been received and are in our queue for evaluation.

Hi @dennis ---- Thank you for your patience while we have been looking into this behavior for you.

I am wondering if Roon is trying to scan the phone as if it is a hard drive via the devices media share option. I am using a Nexus 6p and when I plug my phone into a computer via USB I am presented with the following options:

Can you confirm the make and model of your phone and what it is set to when you attach it to your computer when you are charging?

-Eric

My6 phone is a Galaxy 6Edge +, and it is set to take no action.

Dennis

Hi @dennis ----- Thank you for the follow up and verifying that information with me. I am updating my report that is currently with our developers and once I have some more feedback I will be sure to reach out asap. Thank you again for your patience!

-Eric

Thanks. It is more of an inconvenience than anything. Hopefully you can fix this in the next release.

Hi @dennis ---- Thank you for your patience here. I wanted to touch base and see how things were going after the most recent build update(s). Has there been any new observations made or is the behavior still the same as it was previously.

Moving forward, I want to see if you had reviewed my last PM and also ask you to please provide us with the event viewer report the next time this issue occurs.

-Eric

@Eric It has not happened since the latest update. I will post here if it does.
