Description of Issue

My core is on the Intel NUC, but the problem I’m having is with the Windows 64-bit Roon client (on Windows 11).

On the My Playlists view, I clicked the filter and started typing “twilight sad” to find a playlist, but every time I got to the letter w Roon would crash. It happened several times in a row, it’s fine as long as I don’t type w.

That’s really *eird.

Have you rebooted the client computer?

Hi @starence,

It’s an odd issue you’re having. I can’t find exactly where this happens in the logging though. Can you duplicate the issue for me?

Ideally, you would start playing a track, duplicate the issue, then report back the date/time/track played so I can check the logging.

I will leave you with steps for the fresh install on your Windows PC though. This SHOULD fix the issue.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Thanks,
Wes
