Roon crashing when pressing CAPS lock under Catalina

Roon quits each time I press caps lock (bluetooth keyboard, magic keyboard)

having the same issue in version 1.7 build 500.

I just moved from Jriver to Roon, this already happed to Jriver 25, reported and fixed: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,122826.0.html

Please help with the fix, I normally use the key, it is annoying.

Hi @mavmcl,

The team is still investigating, but as a workaround, you can go to Accessibility settings on the Mac and remove permissions for Roon. After doing this the crash should stop happening.

Thanks @Dylan that helped, I can live without the media keys while a fix is delivered.

I’m also seeing this issue when pressing the caps lock key or any of the media keys.

Hi @Dylan does this means 505 does not fix the issue? quite sure it does not as I do not see any reference in the change log.

This issue was not resolved in Roon build 505. We continue to investigate and work on a fix.
