Well, I am not holding my breath for any help from this source - RoonCommunity or Roon Labs. I just looked at my last request for "support that I posted last January!!! Got exactly ONE (1) response asking me what kind of phone I was using.
Thanks for writing in and sharing your report - sorry to hear you’ve had a less then great experience gaining help from the Roon community previously. I’m confident we can change that this time around!
I completely understand where you’re coming from - time is precious! Based on your description, it sounds like the issue is currently linked to your Nucleus, rather than your Roon remote devices.
What happens if you click ‘select a different server’? Do you see your Nucleus after this?
We’re not seeing the Nucleus active within our servers, can you confirm the device is booting up properly?
Are you able to access the webUI of the Nucleus via a web browser? The Web Interface can also be accessed by:
Typing in the IP Address of the RoonOS Device in a Web Browser
Typing the hostname of the device, for example http://nucleus
When I click on select a different server is a message which says:
“Select a different Roon Server
If you select a different Roon Server, you won’t be able to access the music you had before. Is that what you want?
No Yes”
I rebooted the Nucleus by unplugging it for 30 seconds and I get a green flashing light to the right of the networking port. I do not know af any other way of to confirm the device is booting up properly.
I do not know the Roon device’s IP address but typing in “http://nucleus” in my browser (Safari) didn’t bring up a complete IP address. When I tried the ".local"extension, I get "Do you want this website to open Roon
I stopped there because I cannot parse this response.
