ROCK on NUC wired to the home main router. SOtM network streamer wired to another router (Netgear R7000) in bridge mode.

Can you please confirm how this drive is formatted, is it NTFS? If so:

  • Connect it to a Windows PC
  • Open Command Prompt on a Windows PC
  • Type chkdsk d: /f (assuming windows has assigned the external drive D)
  • Safely eject the drive from Windows task bar (icon may be hidden in the bottom right)
  • Connect drive again to main Roon Server
  • Verify if issue is resolved

Hi @noris, thanks for quick response. The drive has been connected to NUC’s USB socket and backups worked well for many months. It just stopped working last weeks. Should I disconnect it from the NUC and format it?

Edit: Just ejected the drive from the NUC and formatted it to exFAT. Forced backup - works fine now. Hope scheduled backups will also work. Thanks for help.
