Roon database corruption issue during music playback (ref#5W9LI4)

Describe the issue

Roon is killing it's database every single day for the last week. Even after restoring from an old backup, it continually corrupts itself in the middle of listening to music.

It's not RAM or storage. There are numerous other headless services running on the device that hosts Roon and every other one has been rock solid.

The only major thing that I did differently over the last week was mass delete a bunch of Qobuz playlists via the Roon UI.

Hi @Tom_Private ,

Welcome to the forum. I am not seeing any Roon Servers tied to your current account, and knowing the specific corruption type/error would help. Can you please use these instructions to access your Roon Server logs, upload a set to the below link and let us know once uploaded?

Note that due to the holiday season, we have limited staff availability. If you’d like to try using a fresh database until we’ve had a chance to review logs you can use the below instructions:

  • Make a Backup of your current RoonServer Database
  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database
