On a new Win11 Pro computer, Roon finishes its installation, but then it looks for a Roon Server, which I intend to set up on my local machine. It won’t let me install a new Roon Server on my machine, it just keeps looking for a Roon Server when I tell it to use a different Roon Server. No background services are running.
Hello @Michael_Spewak2 ,
Welcome to the forum. Can you please try to set your current Roon database aside and reinstall fresh?
Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:
- Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
- Navigate to your Roon Database Location
- Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
- Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
- Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
- Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
