As I can play from Tidal I don’t think it is a connectivity Issue.
Anyway I resetted the whole network and reinstalled Roon but I did not solve the problem
Restored a backup image of the HDD at a date in which everything was working fine.
No good result.
Any suggestion?
I’d like to suggest clearing your cache in Roon and seeing if you still see this behavior. Please follow these steps and let me know if things improve:
Thanks @dylan for the quick answer!
I moved to desktot the folder:
C:\Users\cavit\AppData\Local\Roon\Cache
but I did not solve the problem.
Is it the correct folder?
Do you think is a good attempt if I will
Backup my library
Uninstall Roon Core
Reinstall Roon Core
Restore the library
Roon core is on a dedicated Windows 10 PC
The library is in the same PC
Same here… suddenly lots of “waiting icon” both on OVERVIEW and DISCOVER, as well as in a lot of the artist pages with Tidal albums, and the version field on albums are in a never ending loop icon.
For next steps, I’d like to propose a test that should give us some additional insight into where things may be going wrong here. Please follow the steps listed below and let me know if your TIDAL experience changes any:
To start, I’d like to gather a bit more data about what you are seeing. May I ask that you please provide an exact description of what you’re experiencing? Are you still able to play TIDAL tracks that already exist in your library without issue?
May I kindly ask that you please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.
Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.
By this, do you mean you’ve tried using each of these devices as your Core and each experienced the same behavior?
Where exactly are you seeing this in Overview and Discover? Can you share screenshots? Does it eventually load, but is just slow to do so?
Just to confirm, it’s not always happening for TIDAL artist pages? Only specific artists? Can you share an example?
Uninstalled Roon deleting settings
Reinstalled Roon
Signed in Roon
Signed in Tidal Everything OK
Restored last Backup Again many "waiting icons"
Then…
Uninstalled Roon deleting settings
Reinstalled Roon
Signed in Roon
Signed in Tidal Everything OK
Restored my oldest Backup (28th may) Seems Everything OK
The issue seems related to a corrupted library or setting included in backup.
The only thing that happened in the last weeks is that I tested a Linn Streamer (Akurate DS) that I’m planning to purchase.
Hi @dylan
Everything OK!
But we don’t know what corrupted the settings of my Roon.
If you think that it will be useful to solve the problem also for other people, I can give you in private a link to download a backup bad and a backup good of my system.
About 5 Gb

Catello
Glad to hear you are up and running! Can you please share the backup files in a shared dropbox link so I can get them over to the tech team? If you are unable to use Dropbox for this just let me know!
Been away for a while. Anyway, I am still having issues…
To discribe: when I select an album from Tidal I get the white screen with the "Loading album…) and nothing happens. Is I log out of TIDAL and then log in again It will usually work for a while, but then revert back to the same behavior. Songs already in the Queue, will more often than not continue to play if you just let the Queue “play on”. But if I manually select a track in the Queue it will usually not play. Again, logging out and then in again will temporarily fix the problem. As will rebooting Roon.
I have tried this with 3 different Roon-accounts, on 3 different systems:
System 1:
Nucleus + running Roon 1.5 (build 323)
System 2:
Macbook Air (1,8Ghz i5, 8GB RAM, OS X Sierra) running Roon 1,5 (build 323) 64 bit
System 3:
Qnap 251 + (8GB Ram) running Roon 1,5 (will need to double check build and version of Qnap FW, as I don’t have access to the NAS at the moment)
Hi @Jocke did you use the same library in your three systems?
I solved my similar problem restoring a previous backup of my library.
Loosed last entries, but everything went OK.
If you don’t have a reliable backup of the library, try deleting your library, after a backup, and check the situation.
