Roon does not run stable, it shuts down during playin tidal

Can you say more about the issue? For example, what do you mean by “shuts down”? Does the Roon application close, is there an error message, or does the playback just stop?

And you say that this is when you are playing Tidal tracks - do you have any local music? If so, does the same issue occur with local music? Thanks.

The roon app closes playing tidal and local files.
There is a error message but I have to wait for the next closing to say more about this.

Ben with the support team here, thanks so much for taking the time to write in! Sorry for the delay in getting to your issue.

As a next step, lets refresh your Roon database:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
