Aber auf dieser Seite komme ich mit den Downloads gar nicht klar und schaffe es einfach nicht die App zu starten!
Please give more information on exactly what Roon software you have installed and what your setup is.
You said in your first post that your Roon Core is on a Windows 10 operating system, yet your last message about missing codecs applies to a Core running on a Roon operating system (that is, an Intel NUC with ROCK installed on it).

So, this is the version of Roon that you have installed? Correct?
And your version of Windows 10 is Home or Pro, and not the N version? Correct?
Can you show a screenshot of what you see when you start Roon? Thanks.

Still waiting as your answers don’t really clarify the matter at hand. There is an article about how to post screenshots here in the forum and if you need help with taking screenshots on a Windows machine , look here.
Looks like you are missing codecs on Windows – so following the guide to install codecs on Roon OS is not gonna work. Some information is present in the install guide but if you use an “N” version of Windows you may need to install the Media Feature Pack for Windows N.

As @BlackJack mentioned, it does appear that you’re missing codecs specific to your machine. Let me know if your issue persists after digging through the above!
Und was soll uns das bringen? Laut ihren Informationen betrifft ihr Problem einen Roon Core unter Windows (OS), die von ihnen verlinkte Anleitung ist jedoch für Roon OS gedacht.
You don’t have a roon OS.
You have Microsoft windows on your machine.
The version of Windows you have does not come with any media capabilities. To use it with roon you have to add them in.
If you are incapable of understanding or doing this then take your machine to someone who can help you.

To be fair to the op, Roons ambiguous error message isn’t exactly helping - though @Werner_Meth would do well to follow @BlackJack ‘s explicit advice above.
Yeah, perhaps a note should be added to that article saying that Windows N does not come with the codecs, and a link to the media pack added…

I agree totally with the link and added words.
However, when you’ve been told multiple times it’s a windows issue, on the forum where you’ve come looking for help; then perhaps the link will be of no value whatsoever, sometimes.

Habe zwar Windows 10 Pro gekauft, aber auf dem Stick war dann nur Windows Pro N
Aber der Fall wurde mit euerer Hilfe gelöst!
