Roon doesn't show a track

I have the album “By The Light Of The Northern Star” by the band Týr uploaded to my PC.

I noticed that track 5 is not showing

but in the Tidal version it is:

checked theversions tab and it shows 1 track less on the local library:

So, I checked if I had the right metadata, and I think I do:

I tried changing the special characters from “Turið Torkilsdóttir” to “Turio Torkilsdottir” but it’s still not showing.

Any suggestions?

Can you find the track using “search”? It may just be that Roon put it in its own album? if you search for the Artist it should show all the tracks?
If you can find it you should be able to “merge” it into the album using the editor. YMMV

If you can’t find it look in settings\library “skipped track” to see if it is there.

Also check for skipped files, it might have an issue with the file itself. You can check in the library section of settings.

Hi @bearFNF thanks for the response.

If I try searching the track, Roon retrieves the Tidal version:

There are 3 versions according to the icon on the track, but besides that song, it’s a live version and a wrong match, both from Tidal:

If I go into the Group Tracks option, track 5 is missing:

I tried moving the folder out of the library and then back again to see if it re-scanned it, but it didn’t solve the problem.
Then went to “storage”, deleted the folder where the album is located added the folder again, which re scanned that part of the library…and nothing.

I don’t know what the problem could be

UPDATE:

I moved that particular file to the root folder of the library:

And now it shows as a new identical one-track album!!:

If I move the file back to the album folder it dessappears…

I could group them toghether and get one album, but I won’t be able to sleep knowing I have a track out of the folder…sorry I’ve put a lot of effort in organizing my library.

I’ve had Roon randomly split the odd track never worked out why. I ended deleting it, did a library clean up and added it again and it worked.

You might try renaming the file and getting rid of the special characters?:

Although I see other files have them with no issues…however when looking a the Roon screenshots in your first post the special character don’t appear to be showing, so maybe that one file is causing it issues?

Even the Tidal version does not display the special characters.

And last but thing to try might be to re-rip just that track and then place it in the albums diirectory?
