During playback (Tidal or library track) Roon is loosing connection to my Altair output. “Select audio zone” appears but Altair is not in the list of available devices. It shows up after a while, but drops out shortly after. Problem started right after installing the latest update to version 1.8 - may or may not be connected.
This may be an issue with your network. The ASUS AC2400 is a fairly old router that actually is spec’d nicely, but has not been updated since March 2021, implying that is an older ASUS architecture.
Can you provide any more information on your network, including how your Altair is connecting to it (WiFi or Ethernet cable)? If WiFi, do you know which band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) you use? Also, how is your XPS Core connecting to your network? This also may play a factor in what you are experiencing.
