Description of Issue
while playing any album, Roon suddenly stops and I have to click on “next track” to resume playing. Another problem is that it will start playing a track and immediately either skip or jump to the next track. This is happening quite frequently and is very annoying!
We’re sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing playback interruptions and thank you for posting on Community.
Diagnostics seem to indicate the most affected endpoints consist of multiple grouped Sonos devices across three Zones. First off, I’d verify you’ve updated to the latest Sonos firmware on these endpoints, as recent changes have brought significant changes to their networking functionality.
How are your Sonos devices connected to the internet? Are you relying on WiFi, ethernet, or a mix? SonosNet builds on existing network infrastructure to direct traffic between your speakers, so the particulars of your setup are highly relevant here.
Additionally, it will help to know what settings you have enabled in your Cyberlink router. Do you have multicast enabled, as well as the features associated with UPnP? Feel free to share a screenshot of these settings in the web GUI if you obscure your IP address.
Also, please try testing if any individual Zone - not grouped with anything - encounters these dropouts. Do you see the problem with Qobuz/Tidal tracks, or just local tracks? Does changing the resync delay in Roon → Settings → Audio for this particular Zone change anything?
