Hi @cogordan, welcome to the community. The 504 error and the “No uPnP Routers found on LAN” message point to a problem with router discovery on your network, so the next step is to confirm how the routers are working together.

Since you mentioned using your ISP router alongside a personal router, a few details would help us pin this down:

  • Which router is connected directly to the internet, and which one is your Roon Server connected to?
  • Is your Roon Server connected by Ethernet or WiFi?
  • Are both routers doing NAT, or is one of them in bridge mode?
In the meantime, please check whether the personal router has UPnP enabled, and if possible, make sure the Roon Server is on the same LAN as the router that provides internet access. If there is a double-NAT setup, that is often the reason ARC reports this kind of connectivity failure.

If you can share the router models and a simple sketch of how everything is connected, we can take the next step from there.

Hi @cogordan,

We’ll need to know the basics of your network topology to assist with precision here.

How many routers are in your setup? If you have more than one, you might need to configure a port forwarding rule manually in each router settings admin page.

Here’s a guide on how to proceed:

We’re happy to answer any questions.

Hi @cogordan,

Generally speaking, you’ll need to either:

  1. create a port forwarding rule in each active router (UPnP/NAT-PMP, if properly configure, will do this for you with autoconfiguration, but you can also do it manually).

  2. use Tailscale instead.

In the event that port forwarding isn’t working for you, here’s a guide for setting up Tailscale:
