The Microsoft Defender firewall will sometimes treat Roon as entirely an new executable if you reinstall Windows. You’ll need to re-safelist RoonServer.exe and other Roon processes sometimes when you update:
We also recommend safelisting Roon in any anti-virus software you might have installed on this PC, as these have a tendency to restrict Roon’s network access.
