Description of Issue

I have had Roon working for years. It was working last night and when I came to it today I saw

“Tidal Login Failed”.
Checked the network, that was OK, so I restarted Roon, and it failed to load (after 10 mins still showing wait ball).

(Note that there was no Windows update that caused this.)

Restarted the PC, same thing.
So I started Roon on another PC, selected option to authorize new PC (told me that one PC was still logged in, although Roon not running on that machine at the time.) I de-authorized the old (ie main music) PC.

Now when I try to start the main music PC the same thing happens - wait ball forever.

Please help - I use this system professionally and need it working ASAP!!!

=================================
I tried this:
– installed fresh Roon
– restored from a backup (I noted that the last backup was more than a month ago, yet I got no errors…
– after restoring my local music was there ok. But Roon gives some strange network error. Under settings says I am logged in OK but everything else Tidal is blank (I can log on find with browser)
– so I restart Roon and guess what…back to not starting again.

Hi @bob_prangnell

Can you please try this?

  • Exit out of Roon/Roon Server
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location - Database\Registry\Core
  • Locate your tidal_account file and delete it
  • Try to start Roon again

Thanks!
