· During a normal upgrade to all Roon devices, the upgrade failed as the Mytek Liberty DAC I use was not connected. I reconnected the DAC. It showed that the DAC was greyed out, or disabled. I could not enable it. I closed Roon and rebooted the laptop (Windows 10) as that has resolved issues in the past. However, now Roon will not start. When I try to run the app, I see a very brief windows activity circle, which then disappears, and the program does not load. I log into a Windows 10 account as a regular user. I have separate admin account with local admin that Roon was installed under. I logged in to the admin account and tried to open Roon, and the same result. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

· Router is the standard Comcast router, but it is not in the chain. I use a Lenovo T14 laptop running Windows 10 to run Roon. A USB connection to the Mytek. which feeds to an Integrated amp. I use a DiskStation411 to store my music files. Tis is connected over ethernet with an 8 port Netgear switch. Tis is a local setup. Nothing fancy.
Thanks for the detailed description. First, please try these steps:
Reboot the laptop once more with the Mytek Liberty DAC disconnected, then launch Roon before reconnecting the DAC.
If Roon starts without the DAC attached, reconnect it after launch and see whether it remains available or becomes disabled again.
Two things would help us narrow this down:
When you try to start Roon, does anything appear in Task Manager briefly, or does the app vanish without opening any window at all?
Did this begin immediately after the upgrade attempt, or was there any other change around that time, such as a Windows update or USB device change?
If you can tell us whether Roon starts normally with the DAC unplugged, we can take the next step from there. If it still does not boot properly, please use [these instructions](
