Roon fails to start playback on Windows 11 PC cycling through tracks (ref#EFVR2J)

Has it ever worked for you previously? Anyway, it sounds similar like an older thread from around two weeks ago:

I got the problem resolved myself. I deinstalled other audio related software or drivers recently installed on my main PC by Asus Armory Crate. Which one of the four (2 drivers, 2 programs) I uninstalled actually did the trick I am not sure. In any case these were the Realtek USB audio driver, AI noise reduction, and 2 sound related programs called Sonic Suite … I found all of them dispensible. Uninstalled them and voilà, Roon remote worked right away
