So, I bought a Fiio M17 (and absolutely LOVE it) while I added a 1TB card, I missed having access to Roon.
So, upon checking the tinkering forum, I found some talking about Tailscale so I thought I’d test it out.
I put Tailscale on my Roon server (Windows) and on my M17.
I had a spare Netgear M6 mobile router and found (here in Australia) Felix Mobile that current has a $16 SIM with unlimited data (20mbps max)
All working perfectly. No lag or dropouts after a full day in the office.
So anyone thinking of trying, it’s worth it if you want access to your home library and not wanting to spend time copying music to a SD card.
