, I want to know if I can prevent ROON from constantly dropping out when I’m in the midst of listening to music. I control my music from an older i-Pad Mini 3. Admittedly, there are no software updates from Apple. I bought this purposely and exclusively as a remote controller.

ROON either drops or freezes- can’t control volume for example. I have close and reopen to wake it up.

I’m not certain if this is a ROON matter or a WiFi / home network matter?

Does ROON use Bluetooth?

I’m not certain if this is a ROON matter or a WiFi / home network matter?

An easy way to test this would be to temporarily use another remote device to control Roon within your local network - do you see similar patterns when using your Windows 11?

Thinking around the iPad a bit more, are you performing any specific tasks when the disconnect occurs?

Another easy initial test would be to test different ethernet cables and ports - and a reboot of your router as well.
