Roon GUI Crashes, Windows 10

Today I had two crashes that closed Roon. When I restarted, the previous state was not always restored.

Language: German, current Windows 10 and Roon versions.

Today 4 times

I would recommend updating the graphic card drivers, get them from the manufacture’s site, rather than the Windows update site.

The graphic card drivers (NVIDEA GForce) are up to date, as my software generally.

Thanks so much for letting us know of the issue. We’re sorry you’re experiencing it.

The reason why @Carl has kindly suggesting reinstalling them, is not because they are outdated. It is because Windows’ automatic updates (that include the graphics drivers) can be unreliable. Could you please:

  • quit Roon (if open)
  • restart your Roon Core
  • uninstall the graphics drivers
  • navigate to the manufacturer’s website and download the graphics drivers directly from there
  • install the graphics drivers
  • ​launch Roon
