Roon has stopped refreshing library automatically

Roon has stopped refreshing the library automatically since the last update.

Windows 10.0.15063
Intel Core i5-3340M CPU @ 2.70GHz, 2701 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s); 8GB RAM
Roon build 247 (64-bit)
100k tracks stored on external drive (E:) attached via eSata (~4TB)

Music is copied to and visible on the drive, but Roon does not recognize it until I trigger a manual rescan of the drive.

Hey @jhwalker,

Can you, please, describe the problem in more details:

  • What exact steps are you doing?
  • What are you expecting to seen in Roon after those steps ?

Thanks

I rip CDs or download files, tag them in iTunes on my laptop, the use iTunes home sharing to transfer from my laptop to the E: drive of the Roon server described above. I would expect the items to show up in the Roon library within a few seconds (always have before), but as far as I can tell, the items NEVER show up in the Roon library unless I manually trigger a rescan via the Roon menu. As mentioned, the files are visible on the E: drive via Windows Explorer or directory listing, but apparently Roon is not “seeing” the new files unless I manually rescan.

As a test would you mind to try the following: instead of using iTunes home sharing just copy/ paste files into the watched folder and check whether they are picked up by Roon ?
