Roon how to do a backup on C or D

hello as you recommend, I wanted to make a backup of Roon in anticipation of the new version 1.8. When I go to backup, I only see my NAS or Drop or as a location to do it. I would like to save to my C or D but I can’t save to Add Directory. Could you give me a concrete example of writing …\…something\ to access it. I want to do it on C or D. (WINDOWS)
Thank you
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

There are a lot of individual variables, but, some additional information would help.

  1. what is your Core and its OS as a starting place.

Hello, I use both the Nucleus and my Windows laptop on which is also installed the Core. I would rather do my backup on the windows laptop. What is the right formula to have access to a folder on the C
Thank you

You have a Nucleus, but you use your laptop as Core? That doesn’t make much sense.

Or do you mean that you often, for some reason, switch your Core from laptop to Nucleus and vice versa.

If so, each Core has it’s own unique library that would be backed up.

To access a folder from your Windows laptop on the Nucleus, you need to set up a Windows Share and then select that in Settings==>Backups.

yes…Or do you mean that you often, for some reason, switch your Core from laptop to Nucleus and vice versa.currently my only options are the NAS or Dropbox. I still do not understand that these steps have not been simplified for the average person. I»have a Nucleus, I use my apple tablet but do not know how to make a backup . It is Chinese!
