Hello everyone. Like I imagine most of us who visit this forum, I love music and I always look for the best quality playback possible on my system. A few days ago, I decided to do something that I had been thinking about for a while but, due to lack of time, I had not been able to carry out. I use Roon with HQPlayer. I play in PCM. Since HQP gives us the opportunity to enjoy numerous filters and dithers, which offer us different sounds in our music, I decided to prepare different filter+dither combos for each type of music, which would give me the best possible sound on my system. So, I have prepared a list of the different combinations for the different types of music, in a classification that I have devised. In addition, for each combo I have added two, one for 44.1x and another for 48x so that the upsampling is calculated accurately and to avoid the possibility of any artifacts. Although it may seem tedious, since HQP allows you to change settings easily, it’s a bit like going back to the old disk changes when we used to listen to music.
