Roon installation issue after Tahoe 26.3 update (ref#TGO5U8)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Roon is slow, freezing or won’t start

Roon is slow, freezing or won’t start

· Roon won’t start up at all

Tell us what's going on

· Tahoe 26.3 broke my Roon install, can't start player. I tried a reinstall after removing all associated files and no luck. First, it went into creating a database snapshot in an endless loop. I closed it and restarted, Roon relaunched and then I get what is shown in screen shot. The Home page shows the correct count for artists etc, but no images load, and no tracks, artists, or anything else display. Nothing is available to play. Firewall settings are correct and enabled for Roon services.

· On my office LAN Eero Max 7 1Gbps ethernet

@Dan_Clark,

Thanks for reaching out to us with this question.

We noticed that you have multiple Roon Servers associated with your account. To help us investigate the correct diagnostics, could you please clarify which specific Server you were using when the problem started?

Recommendation: Please also double-check that your Roon Remote is connecting to the intended Roon Core upon launch, as it may be accidentally defaulting to a different one on your network.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks.

Hi, the two licenses aren’t on the same network, the Roon core is Mac mini (This Mac) and that is also where the remote is running, though I use remote on other devices as well.

My other system runs on a Linux server and is stable.

@Dan_Clark

Thanks for confirming.

We reviewed the diagnostics report from your Mac Mini and noticed that Roon Server does not have access to some important folders.

To troubleshoot this, we recommend going to “Full Disk Access” in your Mac System Settings and re-granting Roon Server permission to access the disk.

Please let us know if that solves the problem.

Resolved, thanks. It was RAATServer not having access. FWIW for your dev team, the permissions appear to have been reset during the OS upgrade.
