Roon interface not displaying, stuck on "Waiting for your ROON Server" screen (ref#IAW8LY)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· When I start ROON the system begins its start up but ultimately never shows the user interface. The only screen I see is “Waiting for your ROON Server”. I know the server is running because I can access my account and play music from my library via my iPhone ROON app.

Tell us about your home network

· It is a netgear mesh system I think RB750

Have you tried clicking Select a different Roon Server? It should then scan for whatever Roon servers it can find locally or on the network. Most likely it will just find your regular one, then you can select it.

Hello, thank you for responding. I was thinking of trying this but didn’t for fear of losing my current library.

There is no danger of that. First of all, the library is in the server, and all you are doing here is connecting the graphical client to the server. You could theoretically have as many servers running as you want and connect the client to any of them at different times.

I tried what you suggested, hoping your last sentence would hold true.

To my relief it reconnected, however, it appears not to be in dark mode as it was? Not complaining though, I have my library back.

Thank you for the confidence boost, greatly appreciated. Now I just have to figure out if I can get this Supermicro pc to run on windows 11

Great  For the dark mode, go to Settings > Setup > Theme. I don’t know why it changed, it shouldn’t have, but should be easy enough to change back.

I agree, not sure why it would have changed. I already set it back but need to restart! Fingers crossed.

All good, restarted and in dark mode  Thanks ever so much for your help with this, I greatly appreciate it.

Enjoy the music

Hey @Christopher_Kent,

Great to hear the restart and switching back to dark mode did the trick. We’re glad it’s all sorted now, and we appreciate you letting us know. Enjoy the music, and we’ll mark this one for closure.

Yes, thanks so much. Quite simple in the end but without confirmation from another user it can be daunting to make a move.

Thanks again, it helps to have someone there.
