Hi @Michael_Lockwood,
Thank you for reaching out to us about this issue. We activated diagnostics on your account. There are a lot of logs mentioned the network being unreachable.
Here is an example

Could you tell us a bit more about how your Nucleus is connected to your router? Are you using any switches or other hardware between the nucleus and your router?
My set up has been unchanged for the last year only recently have I been having this problem. My Nucleus is hardwired to my Orbi router.there is nothing it is passing through. No switches etc. I have three satellites throughout the house. My internet speed is blazing fast at almost 1k, today it is a hair slower but this reading was taken upstairs .
Thank you for looking into this. I have restarted the internet, nucleus, Roon software and my NAS. Even though streaming and my home library are equally slow and streaming takes as long to load. Keep me updated. Thx m
Thanks for getting that information back to me. I’m going to escalate this case to our dev team and I will let you know when I know more. Given that your Nucleus is hardwired to your router and the slowness affects both streaming and local content that eliminates the most common sources of slowness.
In the meantime while our team is taking a closer look, we’re curious - how often are you attempting backups to dropbox?
If you temporarily disconnect your dropbox connection (sign out within Roon) do you still experience slowness?
From recent diagnostics, dropouts and failed playback only seem to be occurring on the Gold Note device, is this correct? Per your last thread, you were working with them directly for next steps in troubleshooting :
How do I sign out of Dropbox within Roon? I am not seeing that option I can delete it but I do not want to do that.
I have two Goldnote DACs and it happen on those or on my phone or on my laptop. No matter what the endpoint is I am still having some slowness with songs playing and pages loading. For example. When I select my Home page it reloads. It is not snappy like it was say even a few weeks ago. It seems like maybe this happened after the last update (Possibly)
@Benjamin I did get to the root problem with the DSD being converted by one of the Goldnotes. I was able to get a hold of the old USA dealer who emailed with the company in Italy. The particular Goldnote that was converting DSD to PCM was a slightly older version that they sold an upgrade to be play DSD natively in Roon. They no longer make that upgrade. However The DAC plays DSD files natively if using the Goldnote app. (Go Figure) Which makes no sense to me but I do not know what’s happening under the hood with ROON and Goldnote
So the Roon user was correct about the solution he received from the Swedish dealer.
In short though I am experiencing this problem despite the endpoint. So Roon is not as snappy as it once was recently.
I did a deeper dive into your logs and it looks like you might be affected by an issue regarding Qobuz that we are looking into. We have some changes coming in our next release that can help with this, let’s please circle back once the next release is out and let us know how things are performing for you then. Thanks!
@Daniel Unfortunately after signing out of Qobuz and rebooting there was no change.
Although today’s update sure speeded things up thus far.
However this one thing is a bit odd. When you click on home it taks a few seconds to load and then a few more for the bottom half. After leaving home and looking elsewhere. The back button to home the page is loaded. If you click on the home button it takes a while for it to reload. I don’t remember this happening before thoughts?

It sounds like it may have a common cause with the other slowdown you originally reported. Did this just happen with the update?
[/quote]
No this was part of the original slowdown. It still exists.
Home Page is still slow and reloads every time I hit the home icon. but search and streaming are all a lot more snappy.
This is expected behavior, I am seeing the same behavior on my end.
Glad to hear there was an improvement. It sounds like the main issues are resolved after the update, so I’ll mark this as solved. I’ll check with the team regarding the Home behavior to see if there are any changes we can make in this area, though I cannot comment on a timeline. Thanks!
