Description of Issue

System was working a week ago and the only thing that has changes is I have added Nor VPN.
Not Sure if that is blocking Roon.

When I disconnect from VPN, Tidal is still not working on Roon. I have tried logging off Tidal and back on with no results. I have also checked to ensure Tidal is still working playing off my MacBook Pro without Roon and it is.

Please help

I forgot the details, but when I had that problem in the past, my free trial account was interfering with my paid Tidal account in Roon…

Hey @Tony_Melles,

Ben with the support team here, thanks for writing in! Following up on your thread, I was able to pull up your account, and I see that your core currently has TIDAL content loaded in your library. Are you still having issues?

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:

Cannot get Tidal working on Roon, I am properly logged in to Tidal. Core is in MacBook Pro, but Roon will not play even through MacBook Speakers. It will not play on my home system either. It seems it is only Tidal that will not play through Roon. The Roon Library plays fine

Hi Benjamin . Thanks for replying . I cannot even get Roon to play Tidal on my MacBook Pro using the MacBook Speakers. Seems to be an issue with Tidal sync with Roon. If I can get it working on the MAC, it will play on my system. This has not been working since I tried to install Roon Arc, now the Core cannot find Tidal. Please note Tidal will play directly on my MacBook if I play without Roon. it is only when I connect via Roon to Tidal, there is no playback. The messages st
ate Too Many Failures…stopping playback. If I connect to the Roon Library and play anything but Tidal, then Roon seems to be working. This problem has been going on for months now. I have not been able to sort it out as of yet. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hey @Tony_Melles,

Thanks for the update! If possible, we still need a bit more information on your setup:

Let’s also try to clear your Tidal registry and see if that helps.

Please use the steps below:

  1. First, Close Roon or Stop Roon Server
  2. Then locate your Roon Database
  3. Navigate to Database\Registry\Core
  4. Locate the TIDAL_account file and delete it
  5. Restart Roon or Roon Server
  6. Log into TIDAL
  7. Please let us know if this helps.
