Why is roon just shuffling through any album/playlist when I hit “play now”.
This happens periodically and is very annoying using TIDAL Qobuz or my own self curated playlists.

Most likely, you have enabled shuffle 
in the queue.

@mjw Why would that even make a difference it never happens on my tidal or qobuz apps NEVER happens on Audirvana ONLY on roon then I have to reboot it and wait that intertermitable/chronic 5 minutes for roon to reload and @Roon Labs Help Center-thanks but I DON’T need the definition of THE QUEUE thank you
And @Benb I don’t need how to FIX the problem I already figured out a long time ago one needs to reboot WHAT I asked was WHY does this happen and not anywhere else in my music server universe!!
If shuffle is enabled in Roon, it would only affect Roon, not the Tidal or Qobuz apps nor Audirvana.
Checking if shuffle is enabled in the Roon queue takes about 2 seconds, so why wouldn’t you want to check that?
It’s also possible that you have shuffle enabled as the default play action for albums and/or playlists in Roon Settings > Play actions:
I never shuffle before starting the album or playlist and like I said even if I do on tidal Qobuz or Audirvāna it never happens only on ROON
All we’re asking is to check if it is enabled. It’s persistent, so this could be the reason, and you may have inadvertently enabled it some time ago.
And like I said if it was inadvertently enabled in Roon in wouldn’t affect the Tidal/Qobuz apps or Audirvana.
Like @mjw said the setting in Roon is persistent. And like I said it’s also possible that it’s the default play action in Roon and in this case would happen even if you don’t explicitly choose shuffle but simply press the Play button.
