Hallo,
Hello,
I can access the hard drive of my x50 via the Cocktail Audio app without any problems.
In my opinion, the hard drive is not visible under Storage locations.
I have already restarted all devices and uninstalled and reinstalled Roon.
Hallo @Angelika_Belger,
Hi @Angelika_Belger,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. To proceed with troubleshooting Please provide a screenshot of your Settings → Storage page and use the directions found here to send over a set of logs to our File Uploader.
As a next step, can you refresh the share settings on the folder containing your local library on the NAS and confirm Roon has proper access to the folders?
Also, we’re not seeing the logs you’ve sent over - could you please upload them to the link below:
Our servers were able to request a fresh diagnostic report from your Roon Server, and we were able to see the following error when your server was attempting to access your drive:
Info: [broker/locations] storage location backend (Folder:Name=:Location=FileBrowser.Entry: [C:] system, KINGSTON SA400S37960G : \Users\Angelika\Plattensammlung) offline reason changed to: DirectoryNotReady
Info: [broker/locations] media availability: Folder:Name=:Location=FileBrowser.Entry: [C:] system, KINGSTON SA400S37960G : \Users\Angelika\Plattensammlung is offline
Since you’re able to access the drive from other locations, the issue is likely due to invalid permissions. Are you able to review the share settings on the drive and subfolders, and re-set read and write permissions for Roon?
Since I’m not an IT expert and you obviously have to be in order to reach your goal with your help, the software has become useless to me. I have now spent hours with it and have had no success, unfortunately, although I have enjoyed using Roon, I will probably cancel my Roon subscription in February.
Sorry for any confusion here, but I don’t believe I’ve suggested any steps you haven’t already completed yourself at one point or another, with the time you’ve spent setting up your Roon library.
When you initially set up the network share, you likely enabled the proper share settings to the drive and folders, correct? My suggestion was to simply re-set these permissions and see if it refreshes the connection.
You would do this by first accessing the C: drive on your computer. Here’s more info on windows folder sharing:
