Roon keeps crashing on MacOs High Sierra 10.13.6

Right after I click on Roon to open it and the icon bounces a little, show a different quote every time, then the app just immediately closes - I don’t see anything else until 30 seconds or so later when i get the ‘Roon quit unexpectedly’ report with the below detail:

any ideas on what to do? This is incredibly frustrating

Is this a new install of Roon on the Mac? Can you verify that you followed all of the steps outlined here when installing?
