Hello @Gordon_Phillips ,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you please confirm if this issue happens with both local and streaming track, or just one and not the other? Are you able to provide the exact local time + date + track when this issue next occurs? We’ll enable diagnostics for your account and look over the logging.

Hi It only seems to happen with streaming content. It is currently happening to Liege and leaf byFairport Convention and happens for each track The clips last for about 30 seconds and then skips. 22.43 uk time. 19th November.

30 seconds?
That sound like Roon is not seeing your Tidal account as being registered correctly within Roon, this then gives just 30 second sample sound bites.
Can you verify your login credentials are correct inside of Roon with Tidal and also try setting your streaming quality to max.
Thank you.

Hi Tidal credentials seem ok Streaming quality on Tdal says it is set to max but on roon it says it’s low(96kps) and it won’t let me change it

when you look in settings:services:Tidal you don’t see an option to change your streaming service quality?

When I look at the services section on roon and look at tidal there is an edit button when i click on this i get user name, staus last library sync and then streaming quality. This is set at Low (96kps) and i cant change it.

That does not make any sense tbh.
Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you are logged in correctly inside of Roon on Tidal and it is a full tier subscription, not lapsed into a free service.
As a sanity check does Tidal outside of Roon play ok?

Hi and good morning from UK (not sure where you are?) I have been checking my Tidal account and acording to them I have no subscription and have no payment history! Thisis not the case as I have been paying monthly for the past year. I have contacted them and asked they look into this asap. Thank you for our help so far I hope this will be cleared up soon.

I have another issue When i click on Find Roon OS Nothing is found. The same happens with Roon Remote on my iphone

Where is your Roon Server running? If it’s on your iMac, then Roon won’t find an instance of RoonOS anywhere in your home network. RoonOS (the Roon Operating System) is used only in Nucleus and ROCK/NUC setups.

Hi Geoff I have been in contact with Tidal and discovered that I did indeed have 2 subscriptions 1 paid and one free. I have deleted the free one and now everything is working fine even the remote on my iPhone.
Thank you all for your help and patience and for my confusion over the “Find Roon OS”
Your help in this has been exemplary. Thank you.

As I thought might be the case, don’t worry its happened to many before you.
Enjoy your music!
