Describe the issue

I have a Nucleus Rev B with no internal storage and primarily use Tidal. I have a solid 1G connection at home.
I generally find that Roon is quite laggy, and maybe even more so in the last few months - not sure if this is due to latest releases that are becoming too taxing for my Roon server or some other reasons?
I'd love to find a way to dig into why things aren't super snappy
What would be the best setup to have a very snappy/no-lag Roon?
To be clear, what I am referring to here is lag when I am browsing the app, clicking on an album can take anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to load the page.
I love browsing around the app but this "lagginess" really affects my user experience.

Wired connection to a router extender

Hey @Julien_Monguillot,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report - it’s good to see you on the community again!

As a first step, and while we continue to troubleshoot, could you please temporarily move your Nucleus so it has a direct ethernet connection to your primary router?

From there, we’ll be able to request a diagnostic report from your Roon Server to inspect further, which may give us better insight around your sluggish performance.

We’ll be on standby for your reply! :raised_hands:

Hi Benjamin and thanks for the suggestion but I already ruled this out by 1) checking connectivity using the same port and cable from the router extender and everything checks out and 2) nothing has changed on the config since the early days of setting up the Nucleus.

Hello @Julien_Monguillot ,

I’ve activated diagnostics for your account and I’m noticing there’s a lot of background TIDAL activity happening, Roon appears to be processing your TIDAL library quite a lot. Is there anything notable regarding your TIDAL library? Do you have a lot of playlists or many tracks from a singular artist?

Hi Noris and I have about 220 playlists in TIDAL - is this considered “notable”? Thanks for your help.
