I am having issues adding the new TuneIN Live radio of “Surf Shack Radio” Surf Shack Radio | Free Internet Radio | TuneIn
The previous version was working fine in roon, but since the update I tried deleting and adding again, but when playing I have the following message : “Impossible to play. The adress might have changed or is temporarily unavailable”
When playing directing on tune in it works fine.
Does anyone have some idea ?

Hello @Cyril_Bonnet , I think Surf Shack recently changed their stream URL.
Anyway, Roon didn’t have the station before, but I have now added Surf Shack Radio for you. Please check if OK.
Thanks a lot @BrianW , I deleted the custom version and added the one from roon. Unfortunatly I still have the same error message. Is it working on your side ?
I’m away from home at the moment so can’t check directly, but Roon’s stream checker that the Radio Curators use plays it fine.
Are other stations OK? What is your roon server running on?

@BrianW I tried to play again and this time it won’t work. I tried the live 365 link directly and it says that streaming is not available in my country (France) could that be the issue ? (In tunein app I can stream with no problem)
Hi Cyril, I’m in the UK and it plays fine here, so it doesn’t look like it is geo-restricted.

It worked again this afternoon, so it seems ok 
The stream failed for me when I vpn’d to France (I can’t play Roon directly as I am still away from home).
I have extracted the TuneIn stream and added that to Roon. Again, I can’t check if this works but you might try that and let me know.

Everytime, both link react the same. I’m wandering if it is something directly link to their broadcast, as other radio plays fine.
@BrianW it seems that it is not working anymore on both link. When I compare with TuneIn (From Android/IPhone app and trough BluOS) it seems that it is always working, any update on your side ?
It’s working fine for me - in the UK.
However, if I VPN to France then neither stream works.
I think you are being stymied by the geo-restrictions which Tunein somehow circumvents.
EDIT: VLC fails too in France.
Hmm, something has changed in Roon, or the station, or I wasn’t awake 8 days ago.
That extra URL I added doesn’t work in Roon at all. I could have sworn it did before.
If it did work, then it would work in France. (The VLC issue I mentioned above is something different and can be ignored)
It’s because the audio chunks are .m4s. Roon doesn’t like that format. So, I think you are stuck until Roon updates things.

And yes, I think the station is also unstable at this time … (Except with BlueSound product trough TuneIn).
I’ll retry latter on.
@BrianW just a final question on my side, is there any way from my side to contribute to the priority of m4s within the devs ? … I’ve seen quite many topics regarding this feature
