Roon locks up and freezes (not responding) when scrolling

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Windows 8.1 / I5 / SSD Drive / 8g/b RAM

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Files stored on Buffalo NAS drive (RAID 1) / Accessing over Wifi (5ghz dual band)
Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

USB output to DAC

Description Of Issue

Roon locks up and freezes (not responding) when scrolling through by either album or artist but I can access all items when searching by track order without any issues

Hello @UK_Phil,

Does this behavior only occur for one specific album/artist or does the album/artist not seem to matter? If you have any other Roon Remotes in this setup, does the same behavior occur there as well?

Thanks for the reply, I can confirm if I view artists and albums on my I phone connected to the PC Core via wireless it does work ok

Hi @UK_Phil,

Does this behavior occur on any type of scrolling or only in one direction (horizontal/vertical)? Does it also occur on your playlists tab?

Playlist are OK too as these appear in track order, it’s only artists or albums as you UI scrolls left to right this is when it freezes

Hi @UK_Phil,

Can you note the exact local time + date of the next freeze and then send me a copy of your Roon logs by using these instructions? The best way to get logs over would be a shared Dropbox / Google Drive link but if you don’t have either service just let me know and I can provide alternate upload instructions.

Thanks for the info but I decided to delete the software and re install it and at the moment it seems to be stable without any glitches
