Hi @Bob_Mills,

Thank you for the report and we’re sorry to hear you’re stuck in a freezing loop.

Can you confirm if you’re encountering the freeze on the same machine on which you’ve installed RoonServer? Or is this a separate Windows Remote?

Are there any system reports available in Windows on the affected machine after you restart following the freeze?

I recommend fully refreshing the RoonServer install itself on your main machine, at this point, in case the trigger here is the connection mechanism from Roon Remote to that particular database instance. Note that if you don’t have a recent reliable Backup available, you may lose edits, library additions, and any customizations since your last backup.

  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database

Please let us know if this helps. We’ll keep an eye out for your response. Thank you.
